At the monthly club meeting on October 22nd at Mike’s Place in Newport News, the club presented a check for $9,000 to Ms. Terry Bolt, Director of Development for Special Gifts and the Athletic Annual Fund.  This gift is our annual payment on the club’s $50,000 VTAF pledge and will leave a balance of $25,000 for our pledge.  The funds were raised through various events conducted throughout the past year, including our annual golf tourney, raffles, football season ticket auctions, and Hampton Festival beer concessions.  I wish to thank all the Hokie Reps, Hokie Club members, business sponsors, and all others who helped with our fund-raising efforts.
