Approximately 88 Hokies turned out for the annual O & M dinner on May 3rd at the Point Plaza Hotel in Newport News.  They listened with interest to remarks from Athletic Director, Jim Weaver and newly appointed VT Women’s Basketball Coach, Dennis Wollf.  Coach Wollf told the audience that even though he had never coached a women’s team, the experience he gained going through the recruiting process with his daughter, who was the #1 recruit in America a few years ago, would be a great help in his new job.  Also coaching men for 15 plus years gave him more than enough experience for the job. 

Athletic Director Weaver talked about the overall improvement in VT’s athletic program, in general.  He also reviewed the plan for the seat reassignments in Lane Stadium next year, which got everyone’s attention.

In summary, it was a delightful evening with delicious food, interesting speakers, and great Hokie companionship.
